Abroad 'not a practical option'

First-time buyers who think that they are being priced out of the
market do not have to look abroad, it has been claimed.
Managing director at FirstRungNow.com Helen Adams stated that there
are other options available for first-timers, such as getting
members of their family to help them out and sharing with others in
the same boat.
Despite the uncertainty currently being witnessed, she said, these
individuals should look at more "practical" measures in the attempt
to get on the property ladder.
"Home-based solutions like shared ownership, buying with a friend
or getting your dad to help you, are more practical [and] perhaps
less risky," she commented.
But shared ownership could prove difficult, she asserted, as it is
not as accessible than purchasing property overseas.
Thisismoney.co.uk recently revealed that 70 per cent of available
mortgage deals that were available to consumers last year before
the credit crunch have been removed from the market.
