Mildenhall is a wonderfully attractive medieval market town with a retail area centred around the market square. The town offers a good range of shopping, education and leisure services, including a Friday market, selection of restaurants and bars, national food stores including a Sainsburys supermarket. The new Mildenhall hub which opened in the summer of 2021 offers a health centre, swimming pool and sports centre, library, pre-school, adult learning space and facilities for the police and the council. The River Lark, Jubilee fields and surrounding forests offer pleasant scenery and nature walks.
Location
Mildenhall is the largest town closest to both RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. There are excellent transport links via the A11 to East Anglia, The Fens, Cambridge and beyond. In addition, Mildenhall has a bus station with local, National Express and Jet Link connections.
